The more you experience the features implemented on this demo website the more you will ask yourself questions that start with "How did you do ...".
Well, we have prepared a number of short video presentations to help address these questions.
- Question: How do you use CBSubs to keep track of your membership and the website income?
Answer: You can easily view the last 7 days of payment activity and a graphical diagram by visiting the CBSubs Payment Center. You can see detailed information about all your member subscriptions by visiting the CBSubs Sunscriptions icon area. You can see color coded subscriptions in the new subscriptions column added to the CB User Management area. We have also created a short video presentation illustrating this answer.
- Question: How did you use CBSubs to protect article content so its only fully visible for Paid Daily Plan subscribers?
Answer: We have used the Content Integration sub-tab of the Paid Daily Plan to mark the Paid Daily Plan content and Free Weekly Plan content sections to be protected for this plan.
- Question: How did you use CBSubs to restrict the CB Online, CB Workflow, Paid Daily Menu and Free Weekly Menu modules for Paid Daily Plan subscribers?
Answer: We have used the Content Integration sub-tab of the Paid Daily Plan to mark these modules to be protected for this plan.
- Question: How did you use CBSubs / DOCman to automate download privileges based on plan subscriptions?
Answer: We have used the Docman Integration sub-tab of the Paid Daily Plan to mark which to which DOCman groups should members of the plan be added / removed to/from based on plan subscription/expiration.
- Question: Kunena does not have Group Forums, how did you use CBSubs to support this?
Answer: We have used the URL parts protection parameter in the Content Integration sub-tab of the Paid Daily Plan to add relevant Kunena URL parts that are used to access Kunena forum operations (view, post, etc). This way anytime one of these URL parts is accessed, CBSubs will intercept and block the action with a message and a subscription plan proposal.
- Question: How did you manage to give Paid Daily Plan subscribers a status field and a CV upload field that other (non subscribers) do not have?
Answer: First of all we have installed the Ajax Text Field plugin and the File Field plugin. Both these CB plugins are currently offered to CB Documentation subscribers on Joomlapolis. Once these plugins are installed and published, we can create two new CB fields: a mystatus field of type Ajax Text and a mycv field of type file. We can then take advantage of the CBSubs Tab/Field Protect Integration plugin that has added relevant parameters to all our CB Tabs and CB Fields. We use these extra parameters that appear when we edit these fields in the CB Fields Management area to mark them to only appear for Paid Daily Plan subscribers.
- Question: How did you create the Paid Daily Plan user list?
Answer: We have created a multi-select checkbox CB field titled 'Membership Status' and configured it to accept the following values:
- Question: How did you give Paid Daily Plan members the nice membership icon in their user profile?
Answer: First of all, we created and uploaded our membership icon to our Joomla media folder.
